Vintage Brass Elephant Claw Bell with Holder India Etched Floral Enamel Working Bell

Beautiful vintage brass elephant claw bell with matching holder, made in India. This unusual collectible features detailed etched floral and foliate decoration accented with muted red and green coloring. The bell has the distinctive open claw/cage construction traditionally associated with this style of Indian brass bell. An internal clapper produces a lovely ring when the bell is shaken or moved. Bell is working and rings properly. When not in use, the bell nests into its coordinating decorated brass holder, creating an attractive display piece. The brass has been left unpolished, retaining its naturally aged patina. Vintage wear includes surface marks, oxidation, discoloration and areas of wear/loss to the colored decoration.
